You, Your Weapon, and the Beast
Hunting genuine Boar requires skill and patience. It also requires the best hard hitting weapon. While hunting in the fall, an Indiana man slayed his Beast using his own 12 Gauge Shot Gun. He got within close range and shot within about 50 deadly yards.
Because the 12 Gauge Shot Gun is suitable for close quarter kills, Spot and Stalk hunting is the best way to take down the Beast. Move slowly and silently through the forests trails and try hard to not rustle the dead leaves beneath your feet. Not all shots are this close, However the firepower of a 12 Gauge Shot Gun loses it’s energy rather quickly, so having unique skills are necessary to close the distance in when you go on an Authentic Boar Hunting Adventure. Of course, you’ll have the help of a Bear Mountain Guide.
Beware as these Beasts in the dark forest are brutes and this make them extremely unpredictable when it comes to their behavior. The Beasts do not care that you are at the top of the food chain, rather, they believe they are. So when you go hunting for Bear Mountain Boar, It comes down to You, Your Weapon, and the Beast. This is a fun time, as the Biggest Boars are out in the forest trying to challenge and dominate all the other creatures.
Boar Hunting in different weather and conditions requires different skills. This particular fall day was cool and damp which allowed silent stalking beneath the canopy. With the Remington 870, it is important to get in close range to your Beast for maximum force on impact. The massive round from the 12 Gauge makes the tracking job easy, as the blood trail followed quickly, even in the fall colors.
The adventure of tracking is just part of the fun. Once you’ve found and recovered your Beast, you can thank your Spot and Stalk hunting skills and your weapon of choice.
It’s always good to bring a friend along for extra fire power and to always have someone else ready to shoot again. After some quick action, this Boar Hunt ended successfully. The fall rut was exciting and made the boars more unpredictable with aggression. When the leaves are off the trees, both you and the boars can see better. They’ll realize this quickly and you and your friend may become eye to eyes, closer than you may think.
Boars of Bear Mountain have strong bodies combined with a tough grizzle plate and razor sharp “cutters” which make them truly lethal. Only the bravest venture forth into the Great Northern Forest to do Battle with the Beast.
This is how the best memories are made here at Bear Mountain. Two great friends hauling their harvest out of the forest. Reflecting on the adventure during this time makes every memory of the hunt great. Something you can truly keep with you forever.
